Funded Stake — A Risk-Free Way to Bet Smarter
Paris, France
Overview
Funded Stake is a sports betting platform with a twist: users don’t risk their own money. Instead, they buy into a challenge, prove their skills, and keep up to 80% of the profits. From NFL to soccer and everything in between, FundedStake.io empowers bettors to focus on performance not stress.
I led the entire product design process, from research to launch. I also managed a team of 5 engineers to ensure the final product was clean, fast, and intuitive.

Research & User Mapping
We interviewed both casual and pro bettors to understand mental models:
- What makes betting stressful?
- What motivates them to complete challenges?
Wireframes & Flows
- Registration and login flow with multiple accounts.
- Buying challenges.
- Wallet behavior across different phases.
- Payout requests & rules.
Designing the Experience
- Each challenge phase has clear conditions and visual feedback.
- Demo and real wallets are clearly labeled with tooltips.
- Users can easily track success or reset and try again.
Leading the Build
- Managed a 5-person engineering team.
- Defined and reviewed UI states, edge cases, and empty states.
- Ensured final build matched design system exactly.

Research & Insight
– A deep dive into competitor platforms and their onboarding patterns.
- User interviews with first-time and repeat bettors.
- Journey mapping for registration, wallet transitions, and challenge completion.
- Multi-account logic diagram showing how users toggle between accounts with different challenges.
Users were excited by the concept but overwhelmed by the rules and multiple wallet phases.
Problems
Problem 1: Confusing challenge phases.
Users couldn’t easily track what phase they were in or what was required to qualify for payout.
Problem 2: Demo vs real wallet confusion.
Users struggled to understand why wallet balances reset and how funds moved between stages.
Problem 3: Multiple accounts were hard to manage.
Users had to manually log out to switch accounts with different challenges.
Problem 4: Onboarding caused drop-offs.
New users found it difficult to get started.
Solutions
Solution 1:
Added progress bars, status messages, and phase guides so users always knew what came next.
Solution 2:
Visually separated demo and real wallets using color coding, icons, and contextual helper text.
Solution 3:
Introduced an account switcher with labels, activity indicators, and memory of last-used profile.
Solution 4:
Reduced the number of steps to make onboarding simpler and faster.

Client Feedback
"I’ve worked with Sukant and his team on a bunch of projects now, and honestly, it’s always been a great experience. He just gets what we’re trying to do, both creatively and from a business point of view. Communication is super smooth, and they always bring fresh ideas without missing a deadline. It’s rare to find that mix of creativity, reliability, and professionalism."
